Nostalgia Display - Back to '89

2010 sees the return of Stu Betty's Back to 89 Nostalgia Display. It was 2001 when the first Back to 89 display was held at Bug Jam, the display has become one of the main attractions alongside the show and shine, showing show cars of yesteryear in their own area of champions.

This year we will see many favourite cars, including Jim Dix's "Thump Thump Targa", which was the final car to be built at the legendary Thump Thump autosylists. We also have "Homage" the Rick Pearmain inspired ride featuring the deckchair stripes. Also the legendary "Billabug" is one of the main attractions for 2010, twenty years after first being featured.

Something to shake it up a little bit will be the New B289 inspired cars, these include Joanne Crowden's freshly built "Red Looker", and Laura Barnes "Plum Brick". The idea behind this mini display is to show you that with some imagination, you can build a simple car that doesn't have to break the bank.
