Postman’s Opera
As a 10 year old kid Pete Jackson used to dream of rock star worlds. At 17 Pete set up a company with his mates. At 19 he was a cult VW festival and rave organiser, a year later, was drinking champagne, living in Kensington with a fab girlfriend, a Porsche and some budding bad habits. By 26 he’d lost the lot.
Pete then goes to music school, now age 38, Pete’s found himself working as a postman. With the odds of ever making it stacked against him, he still isn’t given up. Petes' just had his ‘Eureka moment’ and after a little stroke of ‘Pete genius’ came up with the Postman’s Opera.
Artist/singer/song-writer Mark Redmond plays Pete Jackson, in this introduction to Pete and his little World of the Postman’s Opera.
Prepare to be Rocked! Come find yourself, come lose yourself … welcome to…The Postman’s Opera - A Rock Opera for the people.

In under two years his one man show has seen him go from winning a local battle of the bands competition to opening for acts like Son Of Dave, The Heavy and De La Soul. Expect anything from acoustic songs to old school hip hop and always a crowd pleasing cover or two.

Through a series of trips to New York in the late 90's, watching graffiti artists perform in Times Square and Brooklyn, he was inspired to progress to his current art form, using airbrush equipment. |

Under the Driftwood Tree
Upbeat, eclectic variety of musical influences, which beautifully and somewhat strangely tie together. Spine-tingling vocal harmonies and a dash of their own humour brings tears, smiles, laughs and silences. Under the Driftwood Tree are a five piece surf-style folk band using vocal harmonies along with the usual and not so usual instruments – ukuleles, didgeridoos, guitars, bass, djembe, cajon and accordion.
"Their bohemian sound fills you with an enormous sense of well being; the rugged and rusty vocals transform the songs into mini-tales that explain a whole notion of concepts and simple philosophies".
